A clean ordering app for a build-your-own pizza chain, with every icon drawn by hand.

Pieology hired Hathway for an ordering and loyalty app and a web ordering platform. I designed screens, helped design and maintain the design system, and drew the icons for both the app and the site. The UI stays clean and lets the iconography and illustration carry the brand’s hand-made streak.

Hand-drawn icons

Every icon started as a sketch, with notes in the margins. Ingredients come in a line version and a color version. The UI set comes in 16, 24 and 32 px, with 50 px ingredients for the product page.

Design system

The system has four pages. Atoms covers buttons and their states. Core patterns covers color and type. Then two pages of molecules: app and web navigation, then menu cards, category sliders and rewards. The green buttons do the selling.
